About

Ember Immersive

We build games, simulations and interactive learning tools that turn practice into instinct.

Some of what we make teaches. Some of it is just for fun with people who share your vocabulary. All of it is built around doing, not reading: hands on the controls, decisions in the moment, feedback right away.

Ember Immersive, Inc. is based in the Philadelphia area. General questions: info@emberimmersivelabs.com.

What's Wrong With Me?

A party game for people who speak clinical. One player holds the phone to their forehead. A diagnosis appears on the screen, and everyone else describes the patient (history, vitals, exam findings) until they name it. Tilt down when you get it, up to pass. Beat the clock, then hand the phone on.

Play as a small group, in teams, or 1 on 1.

There's no answer key in the app. The room is the answer key: if a description is off, say so out loud.

Free to download, with the Gentle cards from the General deck. Unlock the rest of General, or add packs made for nursing and paramedic students:

Nursing

Med-Surg · Maternal & Pediatric · Mental Health · Emergency & Critical Care

Paramedic

Cardiorespiratory · Special Populations · Medical · Trauma

Made by a paramedic educator. For entertainment. Not clinical guidance, and not a diagnostic tool.

Dose Quest

Medication math you practice with your hands. Each case gives you a patient and an order. Work out the dose, then prepare it: pop tablets from a blister pack, cut scored tablets, pour liquids, reconstitute vials, draw up syringes and set infusion rates.

Every action has its own sound and haptic feedback, and every step of a multi-step prep counts, so the math and the hands-on technique are practiced together.

Earn Caps as you play and spend them on your avatar. Content comes in add-on packs, with cases for nursing and EMS learners.

The cases are fictional. Dose Quest is a practice tool, not clinical guidance. Privacy policy.

Privacy policy

Each app has its own privacy policy. This one covers What's Wrong With Me?. For Dose Quest, see the Dose Quest privacy policy.

Privacy Policy — What's Wrong With Me?

Effective October 23, 2026

This policy explains what information the What's Wrong With Me? app ("the app") handles. The app is published by Ember Immersive, Inc. ("we", "us"). Questions: privacy@emberimmersivelabs.com.

The short version. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Player and team names stay on your phone. We get anonymous crash reports and anonymous usage counts so we can fix bugs and see which cards and packs get played. You can turn the usage counts off in Settings.

Information that stays on your phone

Deleting the app deletes everything it has saved.

Crash reports (Sentry)

If the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to Sentry, a crash-reporting service we use. A report contains the error and where in the app it happened, the app version, your device model and iOS version, and a short list of the screens and actions just before the error. It contains no names, nothing you typed, no contacts and no photos. When Sentry receives a report, it estimates an approximate location (city and country) from your network address; it does not store the address. Sentry also counts app sessions to measure how often the app crashes; that count uses a random identifier that Sentry's software creates when the app is installed, not one that identifies you or your device. We have set Sentry not to store IP addresses.

Anonymous usage counts (Aptabase)

With Settings > Share anonymous usage on (the default), the app sends simple events to Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics service: a game started (mode, number of players or teams, pack, difficulty, how many categories, round length), a turn finished (pack, hits, passes, round length), whether each card shown was a hit or a pass (by card ID, pack and difficulty), the Decks screen opened, purchase attempts and results (by product ID), and restoring purchases (how many products were restored). Each event also carries the app version and iOS version. No names, typed text or device identifiers are sent. Aptabase does not use a device ID; events are grouped by a random session identifier that resets after about an hour of inactivity, and Aptabase shows us an approximate country. Data is stored in the United States. Turn the switch off and the app stops sending these events.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your name, Apple ID, or payment details. The app receives a confirmation from Apple of which products you own.

Support messages

If you contact us through the support form on this site, the form is provided by Google Forms. What you submit (your name if you give it, your email address, the app and topic, any device details, and your message) is stored in our Google Workspace account and sent to our support inbox. We use it only to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation. The same applies if you email us.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers named in this policy (Sentry, Aptabase, Apple and Google), and only so they can provide their service to us. Each is permitted to use the information only for that purpose, and is required to protect it at least as well as this policy describes.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights or safety of our users or others. If Ember Immersive, Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that deal, and this policy will continue to apply to it.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share personal information, show ads, track you across other apps or websites, use your device's location services (GPS), camera, microphone or contacts, or require an account.

Because the app does not track you across other sites or apps, it does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

Security

Information sent by the app travels over encrypted connections, and we limit access to our service-provider accounts to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Where information is processed

Ember Immersive, Inc. is based in the United States. Crash reports and usage counts are stored in the United States.

Children

The app is made for adults and older students in health-care programs. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us at privacy@emberimmersivelabs.com and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can turn off usage counts in Settings, and delete the app to remove everything stored on your phone. Because crash reports and usage counts don't identify you, we usually can't find data that belongs to a specific person. If you have a question or request about your information, including under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, contact privacy@emberimmersivelabs.com and we'll help where we can.

Retention

Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days. Usage counts may be kept by Aptabase for up to five years. Support messages are kept as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of the conversation.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and post the new version here.
